Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin was held out of practice because he missed a team meeting, coach Martin St. Louis said Friday.
St. Louis referred to the situation as a "non-negotiable." The Athletic first reported the move.
The Canadiens coach would not say definitively if Drouin would be scratched for Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Drouin, 27, has one goal and 26 points in 46 games this season.
