Montreal Canadiens defenceman Joel Edmundson exited the team's game against the Detroit Red Wings in the first period on Thursday night with a lower-body injury.
Edmundson, who has been mentioned in plenty of trade rumours leading up to the March 3 deadline, has one goal and five assists in 38 games this year and is averaging 20:18 minutes of ice time.
The 29-year-old was part of the St. Louis Blues' Stanley Cup-winning team in 2018-19.
In 454 career games with the Blues, Carolina Hurricanes and Canadiens, Edmundson has 27 goals and 70 assists for 97 points.
