Canadiens expected to be missing Slafkovsky vs. Wild

Montreal Canadiens rookie forward Juraj Slafkovsky is expected to remain out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Minnesota Wild.

The team says it will have a further update on Slafkovsky on Wednesday.

Slafkovsky, the No. 1 overall draft pick this past summer, was listed as day-to-day and has undergone medical testing for an upper-body injury.

The 18-year-old has not played since scoring his first NHL goal on Thursday in a 6-2 Habs win over the Arizona Coyotes. He also missed Saturday's game against the Dallas Stars.

Meanwhile, Canadians coach Martin St. Louis said defenceman Joel Edmundson (lower-body injury) and forward Joel Armia (upper-body injury) will accompany the team on its upcoming four-game trip.
