The Montreal Canadiens will be without one of their regular blue-liners for Thursday's game against the Nashville Predators.
Defenceman Kaiden Guhle, 22, will not play due to an illness, the team announced.
Justin Barron will take Guhle's place in the lineup.
In 20 games with the Canadiens this season, Guhle has two goals and four assists. Barron, 23, has one goal in 12 games.
The Canadiens come into Thursday's game last place in the Eastern Conference with a 9-13-3 record.
