Montreal Canadiens defenceman Jeff Petry was forced to leave Sunday’s Game 3 against the Winnipeg Jets early due to an upper-body injury. The Canadiens won the game 5-1.
Petry played 16:02 through two periods and appeared to get his hand caught in a camera hole in the glass, which forced him to go to the dressing room. After the game, head coach Dominique Ducharme said Petry will need to undergo more tests before his status for Monday’s Game 4 is confirmed.
In nine playoff games, Petry has two assists while averaging 24:44 of ice time.
The Canadiens can eliminate the Jets with a win in Game 4 Monday. Coverage on Sportsnet and SN Now begins at 8 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. CT.
