Montreal Canadiens defenceman Kaiden Guhle will have a hearing with the department of player safety on Friday for slashing the Philadelphia Flyers' Travis Konecny, the NHL announced.
The slash happened in Thursday's 4-1 win for the Canadiens. Guhle was not penalized on the play.
In 68 games this season with the Habs, the 22-year-old blueliner has six goals and 15 assists for 21 points. If Guhle is suspended, Johnny Kovacevic is available to draw into the lineup for Saturday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
