Canadiens' Kirby Dach out against Flyers, Joel Armia questionable

Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach will not travel to Philadelphia for their matchup on Friday, the team announced Thursday in a medical update on several players.

Dach has been out of the lineup since Feb. 16 with what was originally determined to be a non-COVID-related illness. Further testing has revealed that his illness-like symptoms were related to a lower-body injury.

Defenceman Chris Wideman is out with an upper-body injury and is considered week-to-week.

Forward Joel Armia is questionable for Friday's game after leaving Tuesday's game against the Devils with an illness.

The team noted that Joel Edmundson's rehab was going well and another update on his status will be provided at the end of the week. He hasn't played since Jan. 26 due to a lower-body injury.
