The Montreal Canadiens have made some administrative moves ahead of Thursday's matchup against the New Jersey Devils.
The team announced Wednesday that they loaned 2021 second-round pick Oliver Kapanen to Timra IK of the SHL and recalled forward Lucas Condotta from the Laval Rocket.
In a corresponding move, the team assigned Jacob Perreault to Laval.
Kapanen, 21, has suited up in 12 of Montreal's 13 games, registering two assists, including one in Tuesday's overtime loss to the Calgary Flames. The Timra native was born in Sweden but plays for Finland, scoring seven goals and nine points in 16 total international games.
Condotta, 27, serves as captain in Laval and has registered four assists in nine AHL games this season.
Perreault, 22, was originally selected 27th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in 2020, but was acquired by the Canadiens in a minor-league trade in March. He started the season playing for Trois-Rivières of the ECHL, where he has five points in five games.
