Montreal Canadiens forward Mike Hoffman missed morning skate and the team announced he will not play in Tuesday's game against the Buffalo Sabres.
Hoffman picked up the injury in the the third period Habs' 5-4 shootout win over the Philadelphia Flyers last Saturday. The winger remained in the game as an option on the power play but stuck to the bench for the remainder of the game.
The 32-year-old recorded eight points (five goals, three assists) in 16 games for the Canadiens this season.
