The Montreal Canadiens have placed forward Rafaël Harvey-Pinard on the injured reserve, the team announced Monday.
Harvey-Pinard has missed the past two games due to a lower-body injury. He also missed three games earlier this month after he was awkwardly hit into the boards by Troy Stecher of the Arizona Coyotes.
The 24-year-old has recorded four assists in 13 games this season.
Harvey-Pinard signed a two-year extension with the club over the summer following a promising rookie season with 20 points (14 goals and six assists) in 34 games.
Montreal also recalled defenceman Jayden Struble from the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League.
Struble, who has yet to make his NHL debut, was drafted by the Canadiens in the second round, 46th overall, in 2019. The 22-year-old has one goal and five assists in 12 games with Laval this season.
