Canadiens send Legare to Devils for Durandeau in minor-league deal

The Montreal Canadiens traded forward Nathan Légaré to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forward Arnaud Durandeau on Monday.

Durandeau, 25, was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the sixth round in 2017. He has four NHL games (all with the Islanders) to his name, but has put up 52 goals and 74 assists in 205 American Hockey League games.

Légaré, 23, was a third-round pick by Pittsburgh in 2019. He has yet to play an NHL game, but has 44 points in 164 AHL games.
