Defenceman Cody Goloubef will be joining the Montreal Canadiens in training camp on a professional tryout.
Goloubef spent the 2020-21 season with the AHL’s Belleville Senators where he put up six points in 31 games.
The Mississauga, Ont., native was originally selected in the second round of the 2008 NHL Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets. In 160 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Colorado Avalanche, Ottawa Senators and Detroit Red Wings, he has recorded 25 points and 76 penalty minutes.
Goloubef also represented Team Canada the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, helping the team earn a bronze medal.
