The Montreal Canadiens have signed defenceman Victor Mete to a one-year contract extension, the team announced Friday.
The deal is worth $735,000.
Mete, 22, scored four goals and 11 points in 51 regular-season games for the Canadiens in 2019-20 while averaging 16:00 minutes of ice time. He added two assists in 10 post-season games.
A Canadiens fourth-round pick in 2016, the Woodbridge, Ont., native has skated in 171 games for Montreal with four goals and 31 career points.
