The Montreal Canadiens announced Tuesday that they have agreed to an entry-level contract with Jan Mysak, beginning in the 2021-22 season.

It is a three-year deal, with an AAV of $850,833. At the NHL level, the 2020 second-round draft selection will earn $750,000 in both 2021-22 and 2022-23, and will make $775,00 in 2023-24. There is also a $92,500 signing bonus each year of the contract.

This season with the Laval Rocket of the AHL, Mysak has played in 13 games, scoring two goals.

Last year the 18-year-old played for both HC Litvinov of the Czech Republic League and the OHL's Hamilton Bulldogs. The forward had 15 goals and 10 assists in 22 games for the Bulldogs.
