The Montreal Canadiens signed forward Sean Farrell to a three-year, entry-level contract on Sunday.
Farrell will join the Canadiens for their upcoming road trip to Buffalo and Philadelphia.
The 21-year-old from Hopkinton, Mass., recently wrapped up his sophomore season at Harvard, earning the ECAC Hockey Player of the Year award with 53 points (20 goals and 33 assists) in 34 games.
He was drafted in the fourth round, 124th overall, by the Canadiens in 2020.
Farrell represented the United States twice last year. He had three goals and three assists in four games during the Winter Olympics and also had two goals and four assists in 10 games at the World Hockey Championship.
