The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Michael Frolik to a one-year, one-way contract worth $750,000, the team announced Wednesday.
Frolik played 57 games last season with the Calgary Flames and Buffalo Sabres, scoring six goals and adding eight assists.
Over this career, the 32-year-old has tallied 159 goals and 225 games across 850 career games as a member of the Florida Panthers, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Winnipeg Jets, Calgary and Buffalo.
Frolik was selected in the first round, 10th overall, by the Florida Panthers during the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
