Montreal Canadiens forward Juraj Slafkovsky will be evaluated back in Montreal after suffering a lower-body injury in Sunday's game against the New York Rangers.
The 2022 first-overall pick played just 9:04 in the Canadiens' win before leaving mid-way through the third period with the injury. There is currently no timeline for his return.
Slafkovsky has scored four goals and 10 points in 38 games with Montreal this season.
The Canadiens improved to 18-23-3 with Sunday's win but still sit in 15th place in the Eastern Conference.
Their next game goes on Tuesday when they welcome the Winnipeg Jets — winners of eight of their last nine — to the Bell Centre.
