The Montreal Canadiens had a number of injury updates as the team opened training camp on Thursday.
On offence, newly appointed captain Nick Suzuki is out two weeks with a lower-body injury, while both forwards Josh Anderson and Jake Evans are out day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
Recently acquired centre Sean Monahan has not yet been cleared to participate in training camp, other than some conditioning. Monahan had hip surgery last season.
On the blue line, alternate captain Joel Edmundson is dealing with a lower-body injury and will be out indefinitely.
