The Vancouver Canucks have activated goaltender Thatcher Demko from injured reserve ahead of his start in Monday's game against the Dallas Stars.
Demko has been out of the lineup since suffering a lower-body injury that initially carried a six-week recovery timeline.
"He's getting really close. It's just a matter of getting a couple good, grinding practices in front of him and then hopefully start him," head coach Rick Tocchet said last week.
The 26-year-old has a 3-10-2 record this season with a .883 save percentage and 3.93 goals-against average.
Arturs Silovs was assigned to AHL Abbotsford in a corresponding move.
Fans can watch the Canucks take on the Stars beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET/ 5:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and SN NOW as part of Rogers Monday Night Hockey.
