Florida Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky got the pull on Thursday evening against the Vancouver Canucks after allowing four goals on 17 shots in the first two periods.
He was replaced by Anthony Stolarz.
Though Bobrovksy led his Panthers to the Stanley Cup Finals last season and has two shutouts under his belt this year, it's clear the 35-year-old wasn't on his A-game in Vancouver.
His most egregious mistake came in the second period, when he left his crease to play the puck, misfiring as the puck landed directly on Dakota Joshua's stick who was gifted an empty net.
Bobrovsky remained in net after, but would allow one more goal on a two-man advantage.
The undrafted Russian has been putting up respectable stats since reclaiming the title of starting goaltender for the Panthers, posting a 0.911 save percentage and 2.45 goals against average — some of his best numbers since joining Florida in 2019-20.
