Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko and Maple Leafs winger William Nylander are Nos. 1 and 2 in NHL All-Star Game fan voting, as of Tuesday.
Demko leads both goalies and skaters with 788,278 votes, while Nylander is next, leading the skaters with 744,990.
Skaters from Canadian teams represent 10 of the top 15 vote-getters in that category, with fans doing their best to get the likes of Leon Draisaitl (Oilers), Elias Pettersson (Canucks) and Mitch Marner (Leafs) one of 12 invites (eight skaters and four goalies) remaining for the All-Star Game.
NHL All-Star Weekend will take place in Toronto from Feb. 1-3, culminating in the All-Star Game on the Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on Sportsnet.
Thirty-two players (one from each franchise) have already been named to the game, with the remaining positions being determined by fan voting.
The NHL plans to announce the 12 fan selections on Saturday: the first six during intermission of the 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT game between the N.Y. Rangers and Capitals, and the other six in the Hockey Night in Canada pre-game show before the 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT game between the Avalanche and Maple Leafs.
The NHL says more than 20 million votes have been cast so far via NHL.com/vote and X (formerly Twitter). Every retweet vote cast on Wednesday, Jan. 10 is set to count twice. Voting closes on Jan. 11, just before midnight.
