The Vancouver Canucks and veteran goaltender Jaroslav Halak have agreed to a one-year deal.

Frank Seravalli reports the contract carries a $1.5 million AAV with performance bonuses making up a majority of the deal.

The 36-year old went 9-6-4 in 2020-2021 with 17 starts and 19 total games played for the Boston Bruins.

The Canucks bought out the contract of their previous goalie, Braden Holtby, who went 7-11-3 in 21 games last season.
