Vancouver Canucks coach Bruce Boudreau says defenceman Travis Dermott will be an option to play Tuesday night against the San Jose Sharks.
Dermott (concussion) hasn't played in the NHL this season. He played one game with AHL Abbotsford on a conditioning loan before the holiday break.
The Canucks recalled Dermott from Abbotsford on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Boudreau said forward Tanner Pearson (undisclosed injury) skated hard on Tuesday and is aiming to return for the Canucks' trip to Florida, which begins Jan. 12. Pearson, who has one goal and four assists in 14 games this season, last played on Nov. 9.
Goaltender Thatcher Demko (lower-body injury) is hoping to return at some point in January, Boudreau said. He last played on Dec. 1.
Demko is 3-10-2 with a 3.93 goals-against average and .883 save percentage this season.
