The Vancouver Canucks are getting J.T. Miller back earlier than expected as they take on the Minnesota Wild on Thursday.
The news comes as a surprise after the Canucks announced three days ago that Miller was 'week-to-week' with a lower-body injury.
Miller, 29, has 20 goals and 34 assists for 54 points in 59 games this season.
His name has circulated in trade rumours ahead of Friday's NHL trade deadline.
The Canucks are 27th in the NHL standings with a 24-31-5 record.
