Vancouver Canucks forward Dakota Joshua missed Thursday's game against the Detroit Red Wings.
According to head coach Rick Tocchet, Joshua will be evaluated Thursday afternoon for an upper-body injury he suffered on Tuesday against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Joshua, 27, has a career-high 26 points (13 goals and 13 assists) in 53 games this season with the Canucks.
He recorded a goal and two assists in the game against the Blackhawks, completing a Gordie Howe hat trick with a fight as well.
Tocchet said he believes the injury is a result of the fight Joshua took part in with Blackhawks forward MacKenzie Entwistle.
Following the Canucks' 4-1 win over the Red Wings without Joshua, Tocchet told reporters that the power forward will not play on Saturday either, and has no timetable beyond that for Joshua's return.
