For the fifth time this season, struggling Vancouver Canucks forward Andrei Kuzmenko will be a healthy scratch when his team faces off against the St. Louis Blues.
Kuzmenko, a 39-goal scorer in his rookie season last year, has failed to generate offence this season, scoring eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points in 32 games.
During his struggles this season, Kuzmenko has split his time between the top line, where he started the season, to the fourth line. Kuzmenko was scratched for two consecutive games to end December.
After his breakout first year in the NHL, the Canucks inked him to a two-year, $11-million contract during the off-season. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent after 2024-25.
