The Vancouver Canucks have signed Andrei Kuzmenko to a one-year, entry level contract worth $1.8 million.
The team announced the details of the deal on Wednesday, once the NHL's free agency period opened.
While the Canucks first confirmed they had come to an agreement with Kuzmenko last month, it was not technically official until today. The contract carries a cap hit of $950,000.
The 26-year-old Russian forward had been playing professionally in the KHL for SKA St. Petersburg. During the 2021-2022 season, Kuzmenko played in 45 games, totalling 20 goals and 33 assists for 53 points.
