The Vancouver Canucks are making some early-season roster moves.
Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin announced Thursday that the Canucks have placed defencemen Guillaume Brisebois and Jett Woo on waivers for the purpose of assigning them to AHL Abbotsford.
Woo, 24, was drafted 37th overall in the 2018 NHL Draft. In 62 games with Abbotsford last season, Woo had seven goals and 24 assists.
The Winnipeg native is still waiting to make his NHL debut.
Brisebois, 27, made his NHL debut with the Canucks in 2018-19. He last played with the big club in 2022-23, when he recorded one goal and two assists in 17 games.
Last season, Brisebois had a good chance to make the Canucks' NHL roster before he was concussed by Brandon Tanev's pre-season hit. He went on to appear in just eight games for Abbotsford during the 2023-24 season.
