The Vancouver Canucks announced Thursday that defencemen Riley Stillman and Travis Dermott have been placed on injured reserve and long-term injured reserve, respectively.
Stillman, dealt to the Canucks in the trade that sent Jason Dickinson to Chicago, is dealing with an undisclosed injury. The 24-year-old exited the Canucks' game against the Minnesota Wild back on Oct. 20 and has been out since. It was just his fifth appearance with the squad.
The 25-year-old Dermott was already on the team's injured reserve list, but was moved to LTIR. The blue liner suffered a concussion during a pre-season practice, and has not appeared in a game yet this season.
The Canucks acquired Dermott this past March via trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs. In 60 games last season, he recorded two goals and five assists. The move to LTIR provides some additional cap flexibility for Vancouver.
The Vancouver Canucks face the Seattle Kraken on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. PT/10:00 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the game locally on Sportsnet Pacific.
