The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed defenceman Cole McWard to a one-year, two-way contract, the club announced Thursday.
McWard, 23, played 57 regular-season games for Vancouver's AHL affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks, over the 2023-24 season. He recorded four goals and 13 assists for a total of 17 points. Over six playoff games, he added another assist.
The undrafted blue liner also suited up for one game with Vancouver this past season, bringing his career total to six games at the NHL level, after making five appearances in 2022-23.
