The Vancouver Canucks are going to test their goaltending depth again.
Canucks coach Rick Tocchet told reporters Friday that the team has recalled Arturs Silovs from AHL Abbotsford ahead of an evening game against the visiting Nashville Predators.
Tocchet said Kevin Lankinen will get the start against his former team.
The Canucks needed another goaltender after Thatcher Demko left Thursday's game against the Seattle Kraken with back spasms. He was replaced by Lankinen.
Tocchet did not have an update on Demko on Friday.
Demko, 29, missed the first two months of the season with a knee injury that he suffered in Game 1 of the playoffs. He made his season debut on Dec. 10 against the St. Louis Blues and has started in six games prior to Thursday, with a 3.43 goals-against average and .879 save percentage.
