As the Vancouver Canucks continue to battle injuries, some reinforcements are on their way.
Forwards Phillip Di Giuseppe and Max Sasson were recalled alongside defenceman Guillaume Brisebois from AHL Abbotsford, the team announced on Friday.
The trio heads to the big-league club as Elias Pettersson's status remains uncertain after he left the team's last game with an injury.
Di Giuseppe, 31, played 51 games for the Canucks last season, totalling five goals and five assists. In three games during the current campaign, he's recorded a pair of helpers.
The veteran of 285 NHL games has put up 27 goals and 50 assists over a career that's also includes stops with the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers.
Sasson, 24, returns to Vancouver having already appeared in 12 games while tallying one goal and four assists this season.
In Abbotsford, the centre has punched in four goals while adding five assists.
Brisebois, 27, has spent his entire pro career in the Vancouver Canucks organization but hasn't appeared in the NHL since the 2022-23 season, when he contributed one goal and two assists in 17 games.
The Canucks return to the ice Saturday when they host the Seattle Kraken.
