The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Jonathan Lekkerimäki and forward Aatu Räty from the Abbotsford Canucks, the team announced Thursday.
Lekkerimäki skated in his first NHL game on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames. He played for 14:07 minutes, recording two shots and one hit.
Räty has played seven games for the Canucks so far this season with one assist and three shots overall.
Over his career, Räty has played 22 NHL games, including 15 last season, three with the Canucks, and before that, 12 with the Islanders. He was acquired by the Canucks in the Bo Horvat trade in January of 2023.
The Canucks will face Räty's former team, the New York Islanders, at home on Thursday at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
