The Vancouver Canucks have signed depth defenceman Guillaume Brisebois to a two-year contract extension. Terms of the contract were not disclosed by the first season is a two-way contract and the second is a one-way contract.
Brisebois, 25, has appeared in nine games for the Canucks this season and 19 total, as well as 241 games at the AHL level.
He was originally a third-round pick by the Canucks in 2015.
"We are excited to bring back Guillaume for a couple more seasons," general manager Patrik Allvin said in a season. "Thanks to the coaching and development he has received from Jeremy Colliton and his staff in Abbotsford, Guillaume has taken a step forward this year. We will continue to work with him and expect that he will make a strong push for a regular NHL roster spot next year."
