The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Tristen Nielsen to a one-year entry-level contract worth $870,000, the team announced Saturday.
Nielsen, 23, spent the 2022-23 season with AHL Abbotsford where he recorded 14 goals and 41 points, adding four more during the Calder Cup Playoffs.
"Our coaching staff in Abbotsford and our development team helped him out a lot this season working on his overall skillset and game," Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin said. "He put in the work and is now being rewarded with this ELC."
The Fort St. John, B.C., native went undrafted before joining the Abbotsford Canucks in 2021-22.
