The Vancouver Canucks unveiled a specialty jersey to celebrate the Lunar New Year on Tuesday.
This year's Lunar New Year logo, celebrating the Year of the Dragon, was designed by Trevor Lai.
"My goal with this year’s design is to make the logo a game-changing symbol that will empower the Asian community, Vancouver Canucks fanbase, and entire hockey world," Lai said.
The red jersey features a yellow dragon that is completely integrated with the Canucks iconic skate logo. It is meant to represent "the good fortune" that Lai wishes for the team and fans in the New Year.
The Dragon also has "striking blue and green eyes" meant to represent the primary colours of the Canucks.
Vancouver will celebrate the Lunar New Year when it takes on the Columbus Blue Jackets on Jan. 27.
