The Washington Capitals announced Monday that forward Alex Ovechkin is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
Ovechkin sustained the injury in the third period of Washington's 4-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday after falling awkwardly into the boards following a breakaway.
The Capitals have three games remaining in the regular season.
Ovechkin bagged 50 goals, his ninth 50-plus goals campaign, and 40 assists in 77 games for the Caps in 2021-22.
