The Washington Capitals have re-signed forward Garrett Pilon on a two-year, $1.5-million contract, the team announced on Thursday.
The 23-year-old Pilon made his NHL debut in May 2021 – the only big-league game of his young career. The Mineola, N.Y., native went pointless in that game.
A third-round pick in the 2016 draft, Pilon is a WHL product. He spent the last three seasons with the AHL’s Hershey Bears. In 2020-21, Pilon recorded four goals and 12 assists over 14 AHL games.
