Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson exited Tuesday's game against the Colorado Avalanche with a lower-body injury after blocking a shot from Brad Hunt in the second period.
After the game, coach Peter Laviolette told reporters Wilson is day-to-day.
Wilson has played just seven games this season, registering two goals and one assist, after recovering from off-season knee surgery. He tore his ACL in the first round of the playoffs last year.
Wilson has 117 goals and 159 assists for 276 points in 654 career games, all with the Capitals.
