The Carolina Hurricanes signed forward Derek Stepan to a one-year deal worth $750,000, the club reported on Tuesday.
Stepan, 32, played in 58 games for the Hurricanes last season but was only offered a professional tryout ahead of this season. He has 504 points in 817 NHL games during his career with the New York Rangers, Arizona Coyotes, and the Hurricanes.
