Forward Colin White has signed a one-year contract worth $1.2 million with the Florida Panthers, the team announced Wednesday.
"Colin is a competitive forward who approaches the game with consistent effort and skill," said Panthers general manager Bill Zito. "We like what he adds to our lineup and look forward to having him in South Florida."
The Ottawa Senators placed White on waivers for the purposes of a buyout earlier this month.
White had three goals and 10 assists in 24 games for the Senators last season. He has 36 goals and 62 assists in 224 career NHL games.
The Senators picked White in the first round (21st overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
