The Colorado Avalanche announced on Monday that they have signed defenceman Calle Rosen to a one-year contract for the 2024-25 season.

The six-foot-one, 30-year-old, spent the 2023-2024 season predominantly with the Springfield Thunderbirds, the AHL affiliate to the St. Louis Blues. There, he appeared in 68 games, amassing two goals and 31 assists, while adding one assist through six games with the NHL club.

A familiar face for Colorado, Rosen spent the 2019-2020 season between the Avalanche and their AHL squad, the Colorado Eagles. He spent eight games at the NHL level that year, while suiting up for 35 with the Eagles where he totalled 15 points.

Throughout his pro career, Rosen has recorded 25 goals, 132 assists for 157 points across 289 AHL games, while adding 31 points through 93 NHL games to his resume.

The Vaxjo, Sweden native began his pro career with the Toronto Maple Leafs organization — winning the Calder Cup with the Toronto Marlies in 2017-2018.

After joining the St. Louis Blues in 2021-2022, he went on to set NHL career bests a year later where he tallied eight goals and 10 assists through 49 games.
