The Arizona Coyotes and goaltender Karel Vejmelka have agreed to a three-year, $8.25-million contract extension.
The deal carries an average annual value of $2.75 million.
The 25-year-old rookie started the season as a development camp invitee, signed a one-year, $842,500 deal back on May 4 and worked his way up to the starting role.
The former Nashville Predators fifth-round pick in 2015 has an 11-23-2 and kept a .905 save percentage as well as a 3.35 goals-against average in the 2021-22 season.
