Coyotes' Nick Ritchie suspended one game for slashing Kevin Shattenkirk

Watch as Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Ritchie catches Anaheim Ducks defenceman Kevin Shattenkirk with a slash to the head at the end of the first period. Ritchie was assessed a minor penalty for slashing on the play.

The incident occurred in Friday night’s game late in the first period when Ritchie and Shattenkirk were up against the boards whilst exchanging some choice words.

Ritchie has been on a tear since joining the Coyotes, recording eight goals and 10 points in 17 games after starting the season with just two goals and nine points in 33 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
