The Arizona Coyotes have placed forward Jean-Sébastien Dea on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract, the team announced Saturday.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Dea is headed to play overseas.
Dea, 29, had one year remaining on a two-year, two-way contract with the Coyotes worth $1,525,000. It carried a minimum guaranteed salary of $300,000 per season.
The Laval, Que., native played 67 games with the Coyotes' AHL affiliate in 2022-23, recording 50 points (23 goals and 27 assists).
Over 37 career NHL games — four of which were with the Coyotes — Dea collected seven points (five goals and two assists).
