The Arizona Coyotes have avoided arbitration with Jack McBain, signing the centre to a two-year, $3.2-million deal on Sunday, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
The team originally filed for a two-year, $2.4-million deal, while McBain wanted one year at $2.25 million.
The Toronto native, 23, had 12 goals, 14 assists, and 26 points in 82 games in his rookie season last year for Arizona.
The Minnesota Wild picked McBain in the third round (63rd overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft before trading the Boston College product's rights to Arizona in 2022 for a second-round pick.
