Arizona Coyotes winger Jason Zucker has been suspended three games for boarding Florida Panthers forward Nick Cousins, the NHL's department of player safety announced on Wednesday.
For the hit from behind and the ensuing melee, Zucker was issued a 10-minute game misconduct, a five-minute fighting penalty and a five-minute major for boarding.
In 29 games this season with the Coyotes, Zucker has six goals and six assists for 12 points. He signed a one-year, $5.3-million contract with the Coyotes on July 1, 2023.
The Newport Beach, Calif., native was the Minnesota Wild's second-round pick, (59th overall), at the 2010 NHL Draft.
