The Dallas Stars have pried away a Canucks goaltender to solidify their tandem between the pipes.
Dallas signed Casey DeSmith to a three-year, $3 million, worth $1 million AAV, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
DeSmith, 32, spent last season with the Vancouver Canucks, putting up a 12.9-6 record, a 2.89 GAA and a .895 save percentage in 29 appearances and 27 starts.
He also appeared in two playoff games for Vancouver after regular netminder Thatcher Demko went down with an injury. He had a 2.00 GAA and .911 save percentage in those two starts, earning a 1-1 record.
