Defenseman Calen Addison has signed a one-year, $825,000 contract with the Minnesota Wild, the team announced Tuesday.
Addison had been a restricted free agent.
The 23-year-old scored three goals and added 26 assists for 29 points, including 18 on the power play – which led all rookies – in 62 games for the Wild in 2022-23.
The five-foot-11, 173-pound native of Brandon, Man., has 33 points (five goals and 28 assists for 33 points) and 24 penalty minutes in 80 career regular-season games over three seasons with the Wild.
A second-round (53rd overall) pick by the Pittsburgh Penguins at the 2018 NHL Draft, Addison was traded to the Wild on Feb. 10, 2020, with Alex Galchenyuk and a first-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft (Carson Lambos) for forward Jason Zucker.
