The New Jersey Devils have acquired forward Adam Beckman from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for forward Graeme Clark, the teams announced Friday.
ADAM BECKMAN
The six-foot-two, 23-year-old was a third round pick for the Wild in the 2019 NHL Draft. Since then, he's played a total of 23 pro games since his debut in October 2021.
Since draft night, Beckman has predominantly played with the Wild's AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild. In 2023-24, while wearing the 'A', Beckman tallied 19 goals and 14 assists for 33 points in 51 games.
The Saskatoon-native played for the Spokane Chiefs in the WHL before being selected by the Wild. Following the draft, he returned to the Chiefs and put up 107 points in 63 games, making him the WHL leading scorer in 2019-20 and was crowned the WHL Player of the Year.
GRAEME CLARK
The six-foot, 23-year-old was selected by the Devils five spots after Beckman in the 2019 NHL Draft. Since then, he has spent the majority of his pro career in the AHL with Binghamton/Utica. In 2023-24, he totalled 25 goals and 24 assists in 67 games, and was named to the AHL All-Star game.
The Minnesota-native began his amateur career with the Ottawa 67's where he played three seasons. He also added a Hlinka Gretzky Cup gold medal to resume during the 2018-2019 season.
